There is hardly any other technology-oriented company like TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK GmbH & Co. KG that offer solutions from standard parts to subassemblies to complete turn key solutions for production and assembly work. For many years, the engineers at TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK have been engaged in the development of sheet metal working and joining systems. For example when joining sheet metal with the TOX® Round Joint you need the technology along with the tools, the presses, and the appropriate method of providing the force. In addition the control systems, the software and the latest process monitoring systems to enable the documentation and storage of quality control data, is all offered and supplied by TOX®.   All of this is supplied by TOX® ensuring a high level of quality and service is maintained.

Among some of the other applications that TOX® offers complete solutions for are clinching, ClinchRiveting, riveting, marking, punching, stamping, notching, shearing, drawing, bordering, edging, bending, forming, caulking, pressing, clamping, shifting, moving, welding, joining and component assembly.  Based on a comprehensive range of drive solutions, depending on the application bespoke solutions can be offered. The application engineers from TOX® are able to specify the optimal drive for any particular application whether is manufacture or assembly machines. There are four different drive families: pneumatic, pneumo-mechanic, pneumo-hydraulic as well as electric servo-drives. Each family consists of standard modular elements which make it possible to specify bespoke and efficient drive solutions of any given application.

Pneumatic Drives

“A world of precise press force with little investment“- this slogan applies to the family of pure pneumatic drives. These standardised pneumatic drives of press forces from 2 to 57 kN are available in different guises for driving the press range TOX®-FinePress.  TOX®-FinePress is a range of standardised press frames with various options to ensure that the customer can specify a tailored and complete precision press at a modest price which can be universally used for production and assembly.

Pneumo-mechanic drives

“Power that follows the curve“– is the slogan for the family of pneumo-mechanic drives TOX®-KraftKurver.  Here the mechanical advantage of the curve and the pneumatic driving cylinder has been combined in a very unique way. The compact and ingeniously simple mechanical construction incorporating the patented curve system produces with the help of the pneumatic cylinder, precise press forces ranging from 20 to 90 kN. But the curve offers the advantage to open and close the press head by 90° offering free access for the loading or unloading of one or more parts. The simplified loading/unloading reduces the non productive time during production and assembly, leading to increased productivity.

Pneumo-hydraulic drives

“The TOX®-Powerpackage” – stands for tradition among the pneumo-hydraulic cylinders, with more than 150 000 units in operation worldwide, it’s the market leader in pneumo-hydraulic drive technology. The latest creation is the Powerpackage type line-Q which can be used for many different applications due to its robustness and its ability to reproduce precise power progression. The TOX®-Powerpackage is offered with press forces ranging from 2 to 2000 kN and in various configurations as standard.

Electric servo-drives

“Flexibility meets press force precision” – with the electric servo-drive press forces from 0.5 to 400 kN can be achieved precisely and with a high level of accuracy and repeatability. The user may tailor, and program the performance values to suit the requirements. Due to the modular design, a high level of flexibility can be offered.  As with all of the TOX® drives stability and robustness are standard.  With the added advantage of process monitoring the electric servo-drive is at the pinnacle of drive solutions offering a flexible and accurate solution.
